The PacFIN reporting system has been updated using an interactive format. The source tables for the reports have been updated from the raw fish ticket data, to the processed data where area and species compositions have been applied. Applying the composition samples returns our best estimates of catch and location of catch for the landed fish. Please view the new report from the Data menu -> APEX Reporting System. Alternatively you can follow this link. For step by step instruction on the use of the reporting system please see the following documentation.

The data presented by the public reporting system is non-confidential, so if fewer than 3 dealers or vessels report catch, the data is moved into a confidential category, where the pounds and values of the category are reported but the component species of the category are not. Confidentiality is applied by agency, time period, and species. For example, if California, Oregon, and Washington all have reported catches for species A in a year, but the data from California is confidential, then the coast wide sum of species A only includes Oregon and Washington data. The California data for that time period will be moved into the confidential category and the coast wide sum will be marked to indicate that some of the data has been excluded for confidentiality reasons.
