A report that shows the date of last upload, and the 90% completeness for fish ticket data is now available in the APEX reporting system. The report is called META001 and is located in the Metadata folder on the reporting tree. Currently data for each state agency is displayed. Additional data sources and reports will be added to the Metadata folder.

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is looking for licensed limited entry bottom trawl vessel to participate in a study examining methods to minimize bycatch while fishing for chilipepper, widow and yellowtail rockfish north of 42 N latitude. NOAA fisheries will publish harvest specifications and management measures in the Federal Register on February 7th, 2017. The final rule will be available at LINK. The rule goes into effect on February 7, 2017.

NMFS is seeking federally licensed, limited entry bottom trawl vessels to take part in a study that seeks to minimize salmon bycatch in the shorebased IFQ fishery. Please see (link ) for further details on the study and requirements for participation.
