The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is looking for licensed limited entry bottom trawl vessel to participate in a study examining methods to minimize bycatch while fishing for chilipepper, widow and yellowtail rockfish north of 42 N latitude. NMFS is seeking federally licensed, limited entry bottom trawl vessels to take part in a study that seeks to minimize salmon bycatch in the shorebased IFQ fishery. Please see (link ) for further details on the study and requirements for participation.

The final rule on sablefish and groundfish harvest specifications are now available (Link). The rule includes modifications of current groundfish regulations and also establishes a requirement for electronic tickets in the sablefish fishery.
